A Singapore Airlines Flight From London To Singapore Experienced Severe Turbulence On Tuesday Forcing The Plane To Divert To Bangkok

Singapore Airlines Turbulence: Passengers Describe Sheer Panic and Horror

A Singapore Airlines flight from London to Singapore experienced severe turbulence on Tuesday, forcing the plane to divert to Bangkok.

Passengers have described the incident as "terrifying" and "horrific," with some saying they thought the plane was going to crash.

The Boeing 777-300ER was carrying 303 passengers and 18 crew members when it hit severe turbulence about two hours into the flight. The plane was flying at an altitude of 38,000 feet at the time.

According to passengers, the plane dropped suddenly and then began to shake violently. Oxygen masks dropped from the ceiling, and food and drinks were sent flying through the cabin.

Some passengers said they were injured in the turbulence, with one woman saying she broke her leg. Others said they were simply terrified.

The plane eventually diverted to Bangkok, where it landed safely at 1545 local time. No one was seriously injured.

Singapore Airlines is investigating the incident.
